(1) In addition to the policies provided in the constitution and other prevailing laws and the policies authorized from time to time, the Government of Nepal shall authorize the following policies while performing the administrative functions of the country:-
(a) Economic Liberalisation,
(b) Poverty alleviation
(c) Social justice,
(d) Sustainable and efficient management of natural and other public resources (e) Development of women's empowerment and gender justice (f) environmental protection, (g) upliftment of tribes, dalits and economically and socially backward classes
(h) Development of remote areas and balanced regional development.
(1a) Provincial government, village executive or city executive shall adopt necessary policies subject to the policy authorized by the Government of Nepal mentioned in sub-section (1) while performing their administrative functions.
(2) To implement the policies authorized under sub-section (1) and under sub-section (1A), the provincial government, village executive or city executive shall conduct necessary programs and projects from time to time.
